The City of New Westminster is pleased to announce that our 75% pre-sale target for the second Urban Solar Garden has been achieved. We want to thank all the subscribers for participating in this community-led renewable energy initiative.
As a next step, the City will now be proceeding with detailed engineering design and construction for the 50 kW solar PV array that will be installed at the Civic Works Yard, Engineering Operations Building. For those still interested in participating, we still have approximately 30 panels available for subscription. Interested subscribers need to complete a subscription agreement and pay their deposit amount of $500 per panel to New Westminster Electric Utility. Payment can be made via cheque, cash or debit at City Hall. Or, if you’re set-up with online payment to New Westminster Electric Utility, you can use that method too.
