The City of New Westminster and Energy Save New West are pleased to promote the Clean BC Electric EV Charging Rebate Program.
All New Westminster Electrical Utility customers are eligible for the BC Hydro customer rebate. The program details are:
- Owners or residents of single-family homes that purchase and install an eligible Level 2 EV charger can receive a rebate of up to 50% of costs, to a maximum of *$700 (regularly $350). This offer is also available to duplexes and townhouses with private garages or dedicated parking.
- Apartment and condo building owners can receive the standalone EV charger rebate and the new EV Ready rebates, which help subsidize the cost of planning and installing the necessary electrical infrastructure to support your current or future EV charging needs.
- Workplace owners that purchase and install eligible EV chargers can receive a rebate of up to 50% of those costs, to a maximum of *$4,000 charger (regularly $2,000), and $14,000 per workplace.
